The local area has a lot to offer holiday makers. Only 10-15 mins away by car is the lively seaside resort of Aberystwyth. About the same distance away from the beautiful beach and Sand Dunes at Ynyslas. The local pubs offer great Real Ales and good food.
Ornithologists can visit the famous Nant Yr Arian Red Kite Centre and watch the Red Kites feeding. The Red Kites are the main natural attraction in the valley, nesting in our woodland alongside over 40 varieties of birds including Buzzards, Red Starts, Woodpeckers, Crossbills and Owls.

With trails heading out into the epic scenery of the Cambrian Mountains, this is a fantastic area for those who like their mountain bike riding rugged. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with a variety of exploration opportunities ranging from the relaxing amble along the forest tracks surrounding the Cottage, to challenging rugged climbs across the local mountain ranges.
For those that like the local attractions, Devil's Bridge Waterfalls, the Silver Lead Mine and the Nany Y Moch Reservoir offer hours of interesting exploration and history.
